The mission of B4 is to nurture useful progress in the field of biosciences, including biotechnology, through the development of partnerships with leading universities and by engaging scientists from India and Harvard through exchange programs. Programs include a Science and Technology Fellowship of up to one year of in fields related to biosciences and two-week Young Scientists Development Courses in Bangalore on topics related to biosciences.
This program is a collaboration between the Institute of Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology (IBAB), Bangalore, India and the Lakshmi Mittal South Asia Institute, Harvard University, Cambridge, MA. It is supported by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India and Department of Information Technology & Biotechnology and Science and Technology, Government of Karnataka.
The program builds upon the Resonance Program, a collaboration between MIT, Harvard, and IIT Delhi. The B4 program is generously funded by the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India.
